The Alexander Technique: What are the benefits?

The benefits of having Alexander lessons are wide-ranging and can include: 

release from back, neck and joint pain

greater ease of movement

improved balance and co-ordination

relief from tension headaches.

As one of many bodywork-based systems of re-education the Alexander Technique has certain unique benefits.  The more accurate body map and new skills of self-correction that you acquire work to improve your mind/body connection.  Learning to think differently about how you do things, and consciously inhibiting harmful habits of thought or action, leads eventually to an improved ability to react more constructively in every situation.
